It started at home.
Literally.
Like a lot of families, everything changed after 2020. Life slowed down. Time shifted inward. We spent evenings at home, more weekends in the backyard, and more moments realizing this was our version of living well.
Hosting friends. Grilling. Sitting under cover while it drizzled -- because Pacific Northwest. Trying to make the most of the space we already owned, especially as time became more valuable.
What we didn't expect was how expensive it had become to do that well. Why should enjoying your own backyard feel like a luxury reserved for the ultra-rich?
When we started our own family, that feeling only grew stronger. So we built the thing we wished existed: a factory-direct, built-to-order outdoor room at a price that doesn't require a second mortgage.

We built Cascade Shelter around a direct manufacturing relationship. Our factory has been producing motorized aluminum louvered systems for over 12 years. Every unit is third-party inspected before it ships. You get a premium structure at a fraction of the dealer cost -- because you're buying it the same way a dealer would.
